Your Employment Insurance Has Run OutThat is not the kind of news anyone ever wants to hear! Can you imagine...you have worked hard for months, years, and suddenly you get laid off. You have paid in to employment insurance (everyone in Canada must have these monies deducted from their pay cheques) and now you can't even collect the money that is yours. This is a REAL scenario that is happening to a half million people here in Canada. Here it is as reported by CTV News on January 25, 2010 (www.ctv.ca)
But what about you? Is your job secure? What would happen to you if you suddenly became unemployed? Are you certain you could find another job? Will you be able to get the money to pay your rent, your mortgage, your heating bill?
But this news really struck home. There are so many people out there struggling to find the finances to make ends meet. I guess this all ties in really.
You must plan for your own future and for your own present. There is opportunity out there for everyone to make their own "nest egg","security blanket"...what ever you want to call it. Most importantly there are powerful and inexpensive tools to help you do it all.
BRAINS and MOTIVATION
What if you NEED to retire? Perhaps due to stress or injury? What then? You may not yet qualify for a full pension. You may not have put enough away yet in an RRSP or other savings plan. You may not yet be eligible to collect it either.
These are available to you at no cost but they are by no means cheap or stingy in the insights and information they provide.
You need to find a way to create your own sustainable future. One that will also allow you to remain healthy and able to live your future. Though many of them focus on creating an on-line business (not just a web site) the information can serve you well in many other areas as well.
Stay tuned for more helpful hints and strategies that will help you become successful in your own business venture. If you would like to comment on anything you read, or have ideas for a new issue of The Nurse Entrepreneur, why not email me at: wendy@nursesentry.com
