Enticing Men in to Nursing

There is a story on www.cbc.ca just now, under the PEI news, surrounding the lack of men in the nursing field. So far none but one comment has to do with the history of nursing. Registering bodies and Nursing schools don't go back near far enough when they talk about the professions history. How many guys (and gals) don't realize that men were the first nurses in recorded history (aside from mothers of course, providing care to ones own family and neighbors). I believe more public education is in order here.
