Nursing Specialties

With such a vast array of nursing specialties making a career in nursing will never be boring.

Nursing is one of the few professions I can think of that has so many different areas one can specialize in. So if you ever find yourself tiring, or feeling "burnt out", you have the ability to move forward to a different area.

I know many nurses who have stayed in just one area for their entire career, and I applaud them. It can truly make them expert in that one nursing field.

For others however, the ability to explore and practice new horizons helps keep them fresh and passionate about their career.

And that too is important.

If you are just new to the nursing profession (or simply needing a change) I have listed below some of the many areas of nursing available.

This list is by no means exhaustive, but I will be adding the job descriptions to help you better understand what a specific specialty in nursing entails.
