The American health care system is undergoing some difficult times, and changes to be sure, but like most countries they are still in need of nurses.

I have had the opportunity to work in the United States as a nurse myself and discovered that providing nursing care in the USA was not really very different from nursing in Canada.

From a nurses perspective, it was not a difficult adjustment in work practices, and my experiences working in hospitals in the USA were positive.

In your search you will note many health care organizations operate more than one health facility.

If you are a foreign born nurse, that is, not an American citizen, and do not have a green card, you will need to be aware of important regulations that apply to you working in the United States.
